In Jang (場), Lee Hee-moon presents reinterpreted traditional folk songs or minyo in OBANGSINGWA’s (OBSG) unique style transformed by way of African rhythms, Jamaican music, punk, rock, psychedelia and more, into a modern, heavy sound.
The single includes four songs “Eolssiguduleunda (Jang Taryeong)” originating from a traditional folk song sung at marketplaces in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, a disco version of Jeongseon Arari entitled “Arariyo,” an extended version of “Narisosa.” from OBANGSINGWA’s (OBSG) previous album, and “Eolssiguduleundub (Smiley Song Mix Version),” The last track, “Eolssiguduleundub (Smiley Song Mix Version),” was mixed and mastered by Smiley Song (Song Youngwoo), also a percussionist for Heosongsewol, into a fresh dub style. OBANGSINGWA’s (OBSG) has won the hearts of music fans everywhere and proven themselves time and again through numerous stage performances.
