The band “Korean Men” was formed in 2017 as a platform to reinterpret minyo music from the Gyeongseo-do region with the grammar of jazz and blend traditional vocals with Western instrumental music. The band has earned a favorable response with its novel performances, where new light is cast upon the male and female identities as defined by the times against the backdrop of today’s sarangbang and witty visuals.
